Knitting & Crochet

The knitting and crochet courses Bee runs at Stash Fine Yarns in Chester are available through their website. She can also come out and visit your craft groups and create a workshop based around your group's interests.

Spinning and Weaving

Bee can teach you to use a spinning wheel to create your own yarn for knitting or weaving. The course is run in a very small group and each person will have the use of one of her Ashford Joy double treadle spinning wheels which are well named as they are a joy to use.

The next spinning course is scheduled for Friday 9th March 2012 and is an introductory course.

The course on the Friday 23rd March is a more advanced spinning course.

If you have always wanted to learn to weave your own cloth, Bee can teach you how to produce simple, yet gorgeously woven fabric using an Ashford knitters' loom.

An introduction to weaving course is scheduled for Monday 27th March.

Glass Workshops

Bee runs several different glass workshops,  on a 1 to 1 basis.

The areas covered will depend upon what you want to make, but usually start with glass cutting and colour choice and then you are helped to produce your own items.

All the glass you will need is included and you will be shown how to use the required tools.

You are free to choose from the following classes, or make up your own if you have been inspired by something Bee makes:

Christmas decorations - make your own glass christmas decorations, perfect to hang on your tree or give as personal gifts. Designed include: Robins, snowmen, Christmas trees.

Glass Jewellery - Using dichroic glass you can create your own choice of beautiful jewellery - rings, necklaces, bangles and earrings.

Glass Picture - create your own glass picture, either free standing or to hang on the wall. Once created the picture will be fired in the kiln to create a beautiful and unique treasure.

Glass Beads - you can make your own glass beads in a flame to create jewellery, bookmarks, stitch markers etc.

Stained Glass Window - This course will be run over a couple of days. At the end you will have a stained glass panel to display.
